This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low income school, my students are faced with everyday challenges. Despite the many challenges they face, they are all happy children who love to read, move, talk, and play.

I LOVE my second grade students!

Our class is made up of 52 amazing second grade individuals, all completely different. Many of our students are new to the country or only speak a limited amount of English. But that does not stop them from working hard and growing.

My Project

I am trying to provide my students with flexible seating options. These wobble cushions would serve as one option for students to sit comfortably and work. They would be placed on the floor of a low table so that students do not have to sit on the bare floor. The furniture risers would be used to place desks or a table higher in order for students to stand while working.

Wobble cushions are a great way to get students engaged and ready to work.

They give them the ability to move and the perfect posture that they need to work while sitting on the floor. Standing tables allow them the freedom to move around in one area while working. Flexible seating options would help my kids be successful, independent learners in a room full of choices.
