Our classrooms are for students with multiple disabilities and all students have IEPs.
Many of our students have difficulty maintaining their bodies in the classroom space and the weighted animals seem to help them a lot.
We currently have 2 weighted animals in the classroom and they are constantly being used every single period.
I would like to add to our collection of weighted animals so that more students can benefit from using them each class period during the day. Sometimes we just have to wait things out while students gain control of their emotions, and these stuffed animals really have made a difference in helping them.
The Lysol spray will be used to help keep the weighted items clean and sanitized.
