Help me give my students a safe space with materials, including fidget toys, alternative seating, and emotional regulation tools, to help them "reset and return" when they are struggling with emotions, stress, or restlessness.

My Project

It's tough to be an Elementary school student these days. Students need to be able to regulate their emotions and actions in the classroom. I have a wonderful, diverse bunch of first graders who are hard workers.

However, even the best of us sometimes need to step away and take a deep breath.

I would like to provide a safe space for my students to do this. Materials included in this project will help to create a "reset and return" center where students can find wobble seats, fidget toys, stress-relieving tools, and suggestions for helping them regulate their emotions so they can rejoin the class successfully.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
