Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most students in my class are English language learners and they come from a variety of different cultural backgrounds. Many of our families struggle with financial hardships, so our school offers free breakfast and lunch to all students.
My class is full of enthusiastic learners who love to explore, create and discover new things.
They are all learning to believe in themselves, to work as a team and help each other grow. I love to see their faces light up when they solve a problem or understand a new concept.
My Project
Many of my students don't have access to computers at home. Having Chromebooks in the classroom will give students the opportunity to develop their technology skills. Students will learn how to use Google Docs to type and edit their writing, use Slides to create powerpoint presentations, access many different websites to target their learning needs and more.
Strong computer skills are a necessity for this new generation of students.
Most future jobs will require people to be computer literate and I want my students to have the opportunity to develop these essential skills. Having computers in the classroom with give my students the ability to access technology on a regular basis and develop important technological skills.
