Our combination class will be centered around small group instruction. With a little ingenuity our classroom will be transformed into an outdoor beach side cafe with tables for students to work together in small groups, and a sit on the beach reading corner with comfortable seats on the floor. Environment plays an important roll in how students feel and an inviting environment can boost attendance, confidence and motivation. Sitting on stability "beach" balls will allow for student movement and muscle development, reading will be a pleasure in comfortable seats "on the beach", and they will enjoy sitting at the cafe style tables having meaningful discussions with their friends.
