Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students need Clorox wipes, Lysol spray, and Kleenex tissues to keep the germs out of our classroom during the flu epidemic in our area.
I am currently a third grade teacher at a Title I public school located in the Bronx, New York.
I have 32 diverse students who are full of energy, enjoy telling silly stories, and have incredible imaginations! My school offers free breakfast in the classroom, lunch in the cafeteria, and snack daily to all the Pre-K to 8th grade students. My third graders love morning meeting where they get to start their day by greeting each other and having discussions and friendly interactions.
My Project
At the beginning of the school year, I asked students to bring in tissues, disinfectant spray, and wipes. The year is half over now and the supplies are running low.
As a third grade teacher, it is my job to keep the classroom clean for all of my students which means I need plenty of supplies to ensure their health and mine.
I clean all the tables in my classroom 2-3 times a day depending on the activities for the day. I have quite a few students with allergies so we keep plenty of tissues on hand. I use the disinfectant spray on every area of the classroom.
