Help me give my students Think Green tee shirts! They LOVE to be able to wear shirts other than uniform shirts and they deserve to have something special for all the hard work they do!
My students are eager to help the environment and people down on their luck! We have a Think Green team on our campus and there are 3 classes of students on the team. Each of these students possesses a strong desire to recycle, help save the planet, and provide food to a local organization instead of it going into the trash. Being middle schoolers, they are highly motivated by "stuff" and an excellent reward for their hard work is a t-shirt they can wear at school instead of their uniform shirt.
My Project
The students in Think Green work so hard and do such an amazing job; they would like to have t-shirts so they can stand out among the sea of uniforms on campus and show off their passion for the environment.
At our school, we believe in reducing, reusing, recycling, and giving back to the community.
We recycle everything we can. We also set up sorting stations at breakfast and lunch so kids who don't want part of their meal can set it aside. After each meal, the Think Green students separate the food and then a local organization comes to pick up our donations to distribute the local shelters.
The Cricut Easy Press and vinyl along with each student bringing in a t-shirt they already have at home or finding one in a thrift store, the classes would be able to make t-shirts they are allowed to wear at school as well as learning one more way of reducing waste by reusing or upcycling a t-shirt that they may not wear any longer.
