My students need manipulatives to help them learn how to count money. Stamps will give them a visual way to represent coins as they learn to combine them.

My Students

Help up stamp out the difficulty of learning to count money! Counting coins is a very abstract concept for first graders.

I have a wonderfully, sweet group of students.

They come in every morning full of smiles and big stories that they can't wait to share. They love to be at school and get very excited about learning new things. They love to write in their journals about all that they are learning in school. They want to keep busy and participate in a variety of activities. These boys and girls are hands-on learners. They do so much better when they can get up, move around, and get their hands-on materials. They take pride in their success and truly aim to please.

My Project

Right now my students learn to count money by cutting out coin pictures or by drawing coins on their papers, which can be time consuming and distracting. When they receive these stamps, they will be able to show coins quickly and easily. This will allow them to concentrate more on the actual counting of the coins and they'll spend less time trying to cut and draw them. Coin stamps will eliminate a step in the thought process and allow them to focus more on the skills that they are trying to master. Coin stamps will enrich the learning experience for each of my students this year and for many more in years to come.

Getting a firm grip on money skills early in life is essential.

By providing these stamps you will help give these children a firm foundation for their lifelong task of handling money. Thank you for making learning more fun!
