My Project

Students come alive when their learning is real and transforming right before their own eyes! We are requesting Butterflies in the Classroom Kit Refill, Insect Lore Butterfly Pavilion and books. Each student will have their very own caterpillar, observing and documenting the changes the notice each day. Throughout the unit we will learn about the life cycle of the butterfly. Students will also get to watch (hopefully, in real time!) butterflies emerging from their chrysalis! We will then release them outdoors!

They form a sense of ownership and pride as they care for their own butterfly before releasing them into the wild.

My students will learn about the lifecycle of a butterfly and expand that knowledge to learning about the lifecycle of many living creatures.
