Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students range from 1st to 3rd grade - the most crucial time for a child to learn reading strategies to make them life-long readers. My students are Tier 3 Reading Intervention students who are 2 - 3 years below grade level in Reading. It is my job to bring out the best in all my students by providing them with the keys they need to open the world of Reading.

Many of my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.

Although they are faced with these challenges, they are excited to set goals, learn new things and try their best to achieve the goals they have set for themselves.

My Project

My students are Tier 3 students who struggle in Reading. We know that students learn better when they are able to practice skills that were taught to them, over and over until they become fluent. Students will love these games because they can practice their skills in a new and fun way!

Each of these Reading/Literacy centers will help students practice skills I have just taught them.

These centers make it easy for me as a teacher because they are ready to go with no preparation and students can interact with them without the need for me to be present.
