At our school we implement The Daily 5 into our English Language Arts and Math. This educational gaming system and games can allow me to add it into our Daily 5 rotation and help the kids feel more engaged in word work, other English Language Arts tasks, and Math activities!
First graders are all about hands-on learning, because that is the type of learning that grabs their attention and gets them interested.
Osmo will help create that hands-on learning I try to encompass in my classroom. My students are excited to get to any sort of technology when learning, and this iPad gaming system with add another fun technology aspect.
My Project
With Osmo, they can use the letter recognition game during the word work, Daily 5 rotation. There are also adding and subtracting games that can be used during math lessons that I have added to the cart. There are even multiple player games on this gaming system to allow for more than one student to use the game at once. Osmo itself only comes with a few games, but the additional educational games I have added to the cart will expand the Osmo horizon! I envision this resource to be an everyday use in my classroom.
