This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students for their resilience, curiosity, and determination to thrive despite the challenges they face. Many come from at-risk or low-income communities, yet they show up every day eager to learn and support one another. Providing personal hygiene items will not only meet a basic need, but will also help restore confidence, comfort, and a sense of dignity. When students feel clean, cared for, and secure, they are better able to focus, participate, and engage in class. These resources will remove barriers that often distract them from learning, allowing them to fully succeed academically and emotionally.
