First grade is an exciting year! Students are growing as readers, writers, and mathematicians everyday. They are learning to work collaboratively, problem solve, and are building independence. My goal is to create a classroom environment where all students feel safe and respected.
Over twenty-five percent of the students at my school are military connected.
This means that we have students moving in and out of our school all the time. We are proud of our military families and aim to make our school feel like home!
My school works hard to ensure that all students' needs are met, both academically, emotionally, and socially!
My Project
My first grade students come to school every day excited and ready to learn. They have done an amazing job adjusting to all of the new safety procedures and protocols. In order to stay safe, students have individual supplies. We were lucky enough to get a set of magnetic letters for each student, but we need magnetic whiteboards for students to keep in their desks to use during our reading and writing lessons.
Magnetic whiteboards are a great way for students to show what they know and stay engaged during our reading and writing lessons.
We also need bins to keep our materials organized.
