My Students

I teach third grade in a high-poverty school in Georgia. I serve students with a wide range of abilities.

Many of my students are far below grade level.

Despite the challenges, my third graders are very enthusiastic learners who love reading and science. They are a group of hardworking, kind kids who are excited about school and love learning new things. I want to give them the best chance possible.

My Project

My students love to listen to read-aloud books, play math games, and create digital projects online. We have access to a number of resources online, but we do not have enough headphones. Using dry erase boards on a daily basis is a fun way to get students engaged while helping to decrease the number of papers we use. The dry erase markers dry out quickly and need to be replenished at times. These new markers will allow students to stay on task and enhance their learning.

With a set of earbuds and dry erase markers, all of my students will have the opportunity to take their learning to the next level.
