My students are wide eyed and excited first graders! We started the school year out with 8 headphones that we use for our computers and Kindles. Since the start of the school year we have already lost 4 pairs. This has made it a little difficult in getting our centers worked out.
They absolutely love having a variety of ways to learn.
Our school is a Title One school located on the outskirts of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Our students are unique and full of wonder and deserve to have access to books that they are excited about! Many of our students are on free and reduce lunch and do not always have access to books or technology. The headphones allow my students on all different reading level achieve independence.
The headphones and CD player would be a huge blessing to our First Grade classroom. Our current headphones are cheap and several have already gone on to the trashcan. We use headphones a lot and at this rate we will not have any soon.
We use our headphones at our computers and in our listen to read station and our math stations.
They are vital to our learning.
The CD player would allow us to listen to read aloud books and lets us follow a long in our book while it reads to us. We love having different ways to learn. These items will make a huge difference in their daily learning environment.
