Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders this year are one of the most diverse groups I have ever had. We have an exciting mix of English Language Learners, Students With Disabilities, and General Education students. Together we make a fantastic classroom family that has worked incredibly hard this year.

To celebrate the end of first grade we do an alphabet countdown!

The last 26 days are each themed around a letter. For example B is for bubbles, H is hat day, and F is for friendship. This project will help us with R for rainbow, P for popcorn, O for Oreos, L for lollipops, and N for nature day.

This is one of my favorite parts of the year because it gives my students a chance to practice being a kind friend and sharing, and we make memories that last forever.
