Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students need seeds and dirt for various Standards of Learning in Science. We need to study the life cycle of different plants in grades 2-5. We also need to understand how germination takes place in grades 4-5.

I would first start with the germination lab and have them grow a seed in the zipper sealed bag using wet paper towels and the light from the sun.

Then we would plant the seeds so that the students can study the plants as they are growing in our classroom. The life cycle of plants is just simply better hands on.
