Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students in my fine arts classroom consist of pre-k through fifth graders. They have the energy and enthusiasm to explore and create, but we are lacking the supplies to make their ideas come alive.
The community my students come from is primarily low income, and all of them receive free breakfast and lunch.
These students do not have the much-needed supplies or resources they need to succeed, especially in the fine arts. They have virtually no experience or exposure to any fine arts, whether it be visual, theater, or even music.
My Project
Getting toner for our fine arts classroom laser printer would allow us to print examples of famous artwork in full color to study. We could enlarge artwork to see the unique textures and techniques.
Having a working printer with toner would allow us to print whatever is needed in our fine arts classroom.
We also need some lighting bars, accessories like a microphone and lamp for our sound board, and gaff tape to mark our stage. My tech crew will be helping to produce the show, and the gaff tape will help them to mark spots on our stage. These items are essential to put on an amazing show.
