My students need 2 sets leveled readers, 4 cubby bins, an easel for whole class lessons, 30 pocket chart poems, and 1 audible timer, along with other organizational tools for their reading supplies to help them succeed in Language Arts.
I've changed classrooms and now my new students need new supplies. These items will not only enable me to teach my students to read, but to organize their books as well.
My students are excited and ready to learn.
We are a very diverse urban public school in California. Many students do not have access to the necessary books they need to progress their reading skills. They love books! Having access to a large quantity of books will excite and encourage them to read.
My Project
The teaching easel will enable me to organize and teach a variety of lessons with manipulatives, interactive writing, pocket charts, and big books to activate and practice their early reading skills. The organizers will help to organize written work as well as their books. The leveled readers will give them a bigger selection of books to encourage and inspire them to reach their reading goals.
Our classroom is lacking in storage and teaching supplies!
