Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love coming to school every day. I teach 24 wonderful and enthusiastic kindergartners. A majority of my students are English Language Learners, with Spanish or Vietnamese as their first language.

My school is a Title I school in California.

A full 81% of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. My students may not have many material things, but they always try their best and never give up. They are hard workers, and I am so proud of my students!

My Project

Writing and forming letters and numbers are always problematic for my Kindergarten students because they lack the fine motor skills to perform these tasks. As a result, many of my students end up frustrated and in tears. I am requesting letter and number printing practice books to help students form letters and numbers correctly. Students will enjoy using these books because they can easily erase mistakes. With paper and pencil, when students make a mistake it takes them a long time to erase or they tend to rip their paper. My students will enjoy using these books to help them printing letters and numbers.
