My Students

I teach third grade at a diverse Title I school in southwest Florida. Our students come from numerous cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. We are an "A" school and one of 27 schools chosen by The Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTAC) for "Exceeding Expectations." Through lots of hard work, our school continues to help our students succeed.

My students this year are wonderful students who have tons of potential, but paying attention is difficult for many of them.

I use lots of different strategies to help them be successful in the classroom.

My Project

For this project, I am requesting some tools to help my students focus better in class. For our computer area, I am requesting three computer table dividers that clamp onto the tables. This will help students focus on their own screen when working in this area.

For our day to day work and classroom testing, my students need tools to help them stay focused and tune out distractions.

I am requesting some hearing protectors (headphones that will help them tune out noises and distractions). I want to make these available for anyone who needs a helping hand to stay focused!
