Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students the opportunity to build video games. The Bloxel Education bundle kit and story cards will allow students to build video games and lead to possible careers in gaming and coding. Students will create their own video games with just eight blocks. The story cards will also allow them to choose a Character, Item, or Setting card. Students can combine those cards to generate and inspire funny, creative ideas for stories. Students would love to share and collaborate on their characters, game art, and games privately with their class! Students would also get to design their own pixel tiles and animate characters and give them special powers like speed, flight, fire, magic, and much more!

My culturally diverse and caring students come from families of high poverty.

They struggle with issues children shouldn't have to think about on a daily basis. The students are sweet and kind. They come to school with smiles on their faces and do their best to learn even when their families have to make difficult financial decisions.
