This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My classroom of kindergarten learners are eager, curious, and love to explore with their whole bodies, especially during outdoor activites like recess, and nature walks. I love to observe my students outside, because it allows me to find ways to include the outdoors with their learning.
I love taking my students outside to read books, and an outdoor reading garden would encourage my students to read, and learn how to care for plants.
My vision for this project is to give all students a place to read books and enjoy the outdoors. I want to see the students in this garden, which is why I am requesting supplies needed for my students to paint rocks and place them in our reading garden. I always begin a lesson reading a book, and Kindness Rocks (Kindness Rocks the World) would be a great story to read to my students to introduce this project to my students. Students will need supplies to decorate, therefore,TFIVE Paint Pens Paint Markers, U.S. Art Supply Professional 24 Color Set of Outdoor Acrylic Paint, and Outdoor acrylic paint set will be used to decorate rocks for our garden.
Additionally, I am requesting HNXTYAOB Repotting Mat for Indoor Plant Transplanting and Mess Control so we can transplant our smaller plants indoors without messing up our classroom carpet, a garden wind spinner to add some fun decor to our garden, and water and Gatroade so students can have something to drink after being outdoors working on our garden.
