While all of my students live in the same general neighborhood, their backgrounds, home language and cultures vary greatly. There are students with special needs, ELL needs, behavioral needs, and emotional needs. I set high expectations for all students and strive to give them quality experiences that they may not otherwise receive. Hands-on experiences are crucial for all students to deeply learn within the classroom.
My students are all excited to learn in fun, engaging, student-centered ways.
I am dedicated to not only teaching each student academics but also incorporating social and life skills such as solving disagreements calmly, taking turns, sharing their thinking with others, and including others no matter their differences.
My students are hard workers who love to learn about everything using a growth mindset. They add the word "yet" to the end of their sentences when they are faced with a roadblock. They always embrace the challenge that they need to try hard things in order to make their brains grow.
My Project
This project will give my students numbered poly spots to help them give each other enough space while they are lining up in the classroom. My students need to know where they can safely stand when they are in line. The spots will help them practice safe social distancing.
I want to keep my students safe while they are learning in the classroom.
The glo powder will help me teach them proper hand washing techniques so they can learn why it is so important to wash their hands often to prevent the spread of germs. The cleaning spray will allow me to clean the classroom frequently in addition to the nightly cleaning by the custodial staff.
