Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with 2 campuses and perform many events for our students and their families. The best feeling is to see I can make a difference in bringing these families together for an event and that they will walk away with learning experiences to do as a family. As we struggle during covid to maintain these events the resources are becoming harder and harder to find and affect the outreach we do for our students and families to help them learn, grow and stay focused on education. My campus enjoys each event I host and they become very involved and that's the part I enjoy about them the most and their involvement is very special to me.
My Project
These items will help set up a new area to connect to the virtual events and help host them with the families. The items will help set up a new area for just virtual event hosting by teachers, staff, and students. COVID-19 has definitely changed the way we do parent engagement and involvement. We have found different ways to keep engaged virtually and will be looking to host more and more events to have the same engagement throughout the year. We appreciate the help of all our future projects and the vision we have set for our families.
