My students are creative, and they are willing to go outside the box and outside their comfort zones to explore new materials and methods of art-making and expression.
My students are eager to learn, excited about art, and energetic.
They love learning new methods and materials, and using their personal lives and experiences as ideas and springboards for their artwork.
I'm excited to try new things with them this school year, and hope to continue that learning in the years to come!
As our school prepares for The Lion King Kids, we have been learning about theater production: costumes, lighting, set design, stage crew... and we would like to include some amazing face painting for the musical, as well as future school events!
Face painting is a great extension of the elements we have been focusing on in Art, and will allow my students to learn new ways to be creative!
I'm just as excited for my students to learn about face painting... Using the various brushes and sponges, students will learn how to create different textures and techniques. With the paints and palettes, students will explore the variety of tones and hues to make the effects they are looking for. The storage case will help us keep all our materials organized and transportable.
Thank you in advance for your support of the Arts, and for helping my students maximize their expressive potential!
