My Project

This year, my classroom is making an exciting transition from serving second graders to welcoming a group of fifth-grade students. Along with this change comes new opportunities—and new challenges. With a class size growing to nearly 30 students, I need to create a learning environment that is organized, engaging, and designed to support older learners.

One of our greatest needs is a new classroom carpet.

A larger carpet will provide a welcoming space where students can gather for morning meetings, collaborative discussions, read-alouds, and small-group instruction. It will become the heart of our classroom.

In addition, we are requesting organizational supplies that will help maximize our classroom space and keep learning materials easily accessible. With more students than ever before, efficient organization is essential. Storage bins, organizers, and classroom management tools will help create designated spaces for student supplies, learning centers, and instructional materials, allowing our classroom to run smoothly and giving students greater independence.

An organized, welcoming classroom helps students stay focused, reduces distractions, and creates an environment where they can thrive academically and socially. These supplies will not only help us transition successfully to fifth grade but will also support our students throughout the entire school year.
