The school that I work at is Pre-k through 2nd grade. It is a Title I school. Our school has some amazing teachers who strive to do exciting activities with kids at all ages. I would love to have some new materials to continue doing hands on/STEM activities with the kids.
My students this year are tactile and/or kinesthetic learners!
I try to come up with creative ways for them to learn without them even knowing it. For example, using stamps, marker boards, smelly markers, and all sorts of other materials while writing makes doing work a bit more fun!
Thank you to whomever supports my wants!
My Project
The chairs that I have added to my list would be great for the kids who are working hard while reading and would enjoy sitting somewhere else rather than at their desk. The stamps for play-dough would be for a fun way for them to stamp and read their spelling words! The ink pads would also be for them to use while stamping their spelling words in their journals with stamps I already have. Everything I have added to my list would be used in a fun yet educational way. Let them be little, let them have fun, and let them learn!!!
Using different and fun materials while learning is kind of like sneaking vegetables into your kids food without them knowing.
I love having manipulatives/materials for the kids to use while writing their spelling words and while we are in small groups. I love to change materials out so it keeps the kids feeling excited about using something "new".
