Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Your donation to support the students in my Introduction to Business and Investigating Careers classes will help edify their self-esteem. I have classes of 7th and 8th grade students, some whom have never owned or worn a suit jacket. I took some of them on a field trip and asked them to wear business attire and most of them just wore their school uniform because they say it's the only clothes they have to wear out.

Wearing a suit jacket while making presentations or mock interviews will help them feel and see what it is like in a real-life situation.

We all know children love to dress up. Wearing the jacket will give them the confidence to develop the soft skills needed to be successful in the future. I hope you will consider helping me with this task.
