Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our Sharks are ready to cheer, but we need your help!

Our school cheer team is made up of enthusiastic students who have worked hard to learn cheers, dances, motions, jumps, and routines.

Cheerleading gives our students an opportunity to build confidence, teamwork, leadership, discipline, and school spirit while representing our school with pride.

We are asking for support to provide our cheer team with much-needed cheer accessories, spirit items, and noise makers to help make their performances exciting and memorable.

What We Need

Our project will help provide items such as:

- Cheer megaphones and noisemakers

- Shark-themed spirit accessories

- Cheer bows, hair accessories, and book bags

- Spirit clappers and cheering items

- Team banners and signs

- Practice and performance accessories

- Cheer socks and other team necessities

- Storage bags and organizers for team equipment

These supplies will give our cheerleaders the tools they need to practice, perform, and proudly represent the P.S. 11Q Sharks.

Why Cheer Matters

Cheerleading is so much more than learning a routine. Our students are learning how to work together, listen to one another, overcome challenges, encourage their teammates, and have confidence in themselves.

For some students, being part of the Sharks Cheer Team is their first opportunity to be part of a school team. We want every cheerleader to feel that they belong, that they are valued, and that they have a special role within our school community.

Having their own team accessories and spirit equipment will help our students feel like a real team and give them even more pride when they perform at school events and represent the Sharks.

Your donation will help our cheerleaders cheer louder, perform with confidence, and show their school spirit!
