Help me give my students a quality, reliable, and durable piano that will last for several years. This piano will serve students in 5th grade general music, 6th grade choir, and 6th grade piano lab.

My Project

The 2023-2024 school year is the first year Glenpool Intermediate has offered choir at the 6th grade level. These students have worked hard this year developing solid vocal technique, building music literacy skills, and exploring a variety of musical styles in the context of music history.

They are lovingly named the Prelude Choir after the musical term "prelude," which refers to the opening musical material that introduces a larger work.

I see so much potential in their musical abilities and their positive attitudes. I am very optimistic about the future of vocal music in Glenpool and plan to stay for several years to watch the seeds I have planted at the intermediate level grow and develop into more robust and thriving music programs at the high school level and beyond. Reaching these high and lofty goals start with some simple, straightforward needs. One crucial step is an upgrade in our digital keyboard, which we rely on for daily rehearsals.

This year I also introduced a piano lab to our fine arts offerings. Students will benefit from having a high quality piano on which to practice their skills.

5th grade general music will also benefit from this purchase, as a quality piano is very useful for all music related activities.
