Help the Cool Cats Create and Cultivate Learning

Help me give my students hands on learning, art and technology support. These materials will enhance and motivate my students to learn and create.

My Project

I'm requesting supplies to help my class, AKA the "Cool Cats" enhance their learning in hands on phonics, math, art and technology with new headphones. My class is a bright, eager to learn group of kiddos that love school and would benefit from these items.

Learning to read is a BIG part of first grade but so is decoding words and learning to break up the sounds and write sounds.

The phonics materials will support this instruction by giving students fun opportunities to practice decoding and writing using objects and games to support our reading foundational skills standards.

The math materials will allow students have support materials for independent practice, as well as for me to use in small group instruction to reteach and support struggling learners.

The headphones will be used for students to access the online district program we use that requires headphones that are not provided by the district. The headphones will be useful for those students that are unable to bring in a pair. Headphones are an item that are used daily and often need replacing.

I have also requested art supplies for two upcoming projects. We will be learning to write and informative paragraph about an animal. Students will learn to use pastels to color a Red Fox for one of our animals. As a final project students will choose their favorite animal to create a watercolor illustration to enhance their writing.

Finally, dry erase markers are used for so many learning activities in our classroom so, we go through a lot. We use them believe it or not in all subjects including art.
