My Students

The students I teach are in a special education class for students with Autism. The students have unique needs and struggle daily with significant communication and learning needs. They work every day on their life skills, daily living skills, and communication. I work with them on communicating verbally and through communication devices.

Children who have autism also have difficulties with communication, learning, social interaction, and imaginative play.

I would like to provide them with various tools to help them with these challenges. The students work very hard on a daily basis and any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

My Project

I would like to provide the students with games and sensory items to help them work and develop positive relationships. The students work very hard on a daily basis and will benefit greatly from the games by helping the students improve their social skills by working on taking turns and sharing. The crocodile activity board will help support students fine motor skills by moving objects on the board. The ice maker will be used to provide students with ice for their water. Students with autism will often request ice in their drinks to make them cool. The ice will help support this sensory need. The curtain lights will provide a nice sensory item for our classroom by creating a calm sensory visual which will support students learning by helping them remain focused. The wiggle seats will help the students remain seated by providing the sensory input they need to be successful.

The games, ice maker, sensory items, and wiggle seats will have a big impact on the students education.

The students with autism have difficulty with focus and attention. The students will benefit by being able to use the games, ice, sensory items, and wiggle seats to help them focus and learn and improve their social skills. Your donation will be greatly appreciated and will be put to good use. Your donation will help the students tremendously and improve their academic and daily living skills.
