My Students

I teach a phenomenal fifth grade class at a TK-5 school in Southern California. The school I work at has won California Distinguished School in 2020 and is a finalist for the National Center for Urban School Transformation Award. Our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds but they always make the most of what we have. Our school population is largely Hispanic with a very large population of English Language Learners.

Every student enrolled at our school receives free breakfast and lunch daily.

I am constantly amazed by all the challenges presented to these students each day. They enter the classroom each day ready and willing to learn! I am proud to be their teacher.

My Project

For this project I am requesting various workbooks to help support leaning. I have a student that is not able to access my fifth grade curriculum.

My student needs better materials at their level and these new workbooks will be very helpful!

I want to do as much as I can to support the learning of this student as best as I can. These new workbooks will be really helpful to have him work through and learn. He will be able to learn about time and money, addition and subtraction, as well as work on his sight words and letter sounds. Thank you for considering to donate to this project.
