My Students
My students are amazing kids with special needs who are showing up to virtual learning and their coaching sessions daily. They show up to class on their Chromebooks from places around their home where they can find quiet and focus. These places range from couches, to backyards, to closets, to kitchens, to bathrooms.
Each of them is committed to learning and would benefit from having noise cancelling headphones to help mitigate the noise around them and help them focus.
This in addition to having a few fidgets would allow for them to move and focus when learning is difficult or frustrating, and be able to do their best work among the home offices and sibling learning!
My Project
Helping my students with special needs by providing them with headphones, a mouse, and fidget bands will allow them to be their best learners as we navigate school from home by limiting distractions and helping them to focus. They are incredible kids who have shown up to digital school everyday for over a month amidst parents working from home, siblings around, and some having very few comfortable places to work in their homes. Providing them with these items will empower them to fully take charge of their learning amongst distractions during this hectic time!
