This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a group of vibrant and energetic group of TK and Kindergarten students on the Autism Spectrum who are constantly on the move. They need a lot of proprioceptive input in order regulate their bodies so that they can focus and learn. Jumping is one activity that can provide this input, not to mention that it's fun! Please help us purchase a 7 foot indoor trampoline for our classroom.
My students will be able to regularly use this trampoline to meet their sensory needs.
I plan to give students opportunities to use the trampoline in small groups as part of our daily station rotations.
