Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the privilege of working with the most amazing students. I teach in a Kindergarten ABA classroom. I have six students in my classroom. Some of my students are nonverbal. Most of my students have never attended school before due to the Corona Virus. I work in an area where students do not always receive what they need at home due to poverty.

It is important to me that my students' needs are met while at school.

I want school to be a safe, fun, engaging, and loving environment where they will thrive.

I have taught students who have Autism for over 15 years and have a true passion for what I do.

I hope you will consider us and our program for your project.

My Project

The materials I am requesting will help my students with Autism better develop their fine motor and sensory skills. I have requested the sensory table to allow my students to tolerate different textures. The sensory table will also be a reinforcer to motivate my students to finish certain tasks.

The majority of my students live in poverty and are not having their needs met at home.

I want to provide a safe and happy academic environment for my students to have their needs met. I want to provide them with equal academic opportunities. The letter rockets will help my students with letter recognition, reading, and phonics. I will use these for centers and socialization with their peers.

Please help give these children every opportunity to be successful.
