Help Students Learn Effectively by Providing Tools for the Classroom
My students need pencils and a sharpener for completing classwork and standardized tests. The stapler and hole puncher are for their interactive notebook. Stickers and stamps are used as an incentive.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students enter our high school with an amazing community of educators that work together to meet the diverse needs of the community. Seventy-eight percent of the student population at our school are Latinos and 40% are English Language Learners.
My 9th graders come into high school with a thirst for knowledge and a motivation for learning.
They are hard working, care about their learning, and have a passion for science. Ninth graders are a part of the freshman academy where they are held to high standards and are guided to achieve academic, emotional, and social excellence.
My Project
Many students come to school prepared to learn but not having the tools necessary. Pencils and sharpeners are things students frequently ask for but are expected to have. I want my students to walk into my classroom knowing that simple items will not hinder them from their learning so they can focus on what really matters - the content and their growth.
The stapler and hole puncher will be used to organize pages from their interactive notebooks.
The stamps will be used as a way to keep track of their completion on their left side pages in their interactive notebook. The stickers will be used as an incentive for students to complete their do-nows in a timely fashion.
