Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
All of my children learn Math, ELA, and Tech from me. We team teach in 3rd grade. Although they have similar traits, it is because of those traits that they have diverse backgrounds. Their family struggles are brought to school. However, they will succeed with your help.
The introduction of various contents such as Math, ELA, and technology in a class that is 100%: low SES, highest poverty, and Hispanic; can have an amazing effect on their performance.
We will overcome the many challenges that they bring from home and outperform the expectations they have of themselves.
My Project
My students are in need of ink for our classroom printer. They use the printer to print out their weekly reports to turn in from books that they have read and tested on. They also use the printer to print out reports for their classroom projects. With your help, my students will be able to turn in their reports on a timely manner and they will also be able to finish their projects in class so that my students will not have to rely on someone to take them to the library and print out what they need for their classroom projects, since some of them do not have a vehicle of their own.
