My students need 52 headphone microphones and multimedia speakers for our class.

My Students

Technology budgets have been cut again this year and we are in need of headphones for each of the computers in the lab so that students can hear the content of multimedia websites. Headphones will help students stay focused and eliminate the noise that 32 students working on the web can create.

Our students are very creative and hungry for knowledge especially when using technology in integrated projects.

Our students are in a high needs school that hovers close to 70% free and reduced lunch and has a very high English as a second language population. We value our diversity and use it as a strength when and where we can. It is valuable for students to understand other cultures.

My Project

The headphones and speakers we are requesting will increase the focus and attention of the 420 students that attend our school. They are vitally necessary to running a lab that has been neglected due to funding. The district will maintain computers,but will not support peripherals such as headphones, speakers, printers, etc. those items must be paid for from our school budget. Unfortunately there is very little money in that budget now that funding has been cut district wide.

This project, if funded, will increase student participation, decrease inattentiveness in the computer lab and allow our students the tools they need to be successful in creating interactive multimedia projects.
