My Students

I work in an elementary school in Hamden, CT. Although we live close to Yale University in nearby New Haven, many of my students and their families don't see college as a possibility. I try my best to inspire them to work hard each day to reach their full potential, despite life's many obstacles. Our school is 82% minority, and 73% of our students receive free and reduced lunch.

My students need every helping hand they can get as they climb their way to the top.

New technology really captures their interest and engages their attention. It also makes it easier for me to address their individual learning needs.

My Project

A document camera allows students to see the teacher write or move materials in real time and perfect detail. It's great for demonstrating how to organize your writing, editing and revising, or teaching math games and activities. The best part is, students can lend a hand and manipulate objects under the camera, too. It's great for showing the whole class their brilliant work!

With a document camera, students are fully engaged and able to learn with crystal clarity.

My students will get so much more from my lessons, and their behavior will improve when they can see clearly what I want them to do!
