My Students

How hard would it be for you to focus on learning if your mom or dad was fighting in Afghanistan right now? For many of my students, this is an every day reality. A comfy carpet to sit on would give them a place to settle down and learn.

The students at Ft.

Sam Houston Elementary have parents who are serving our country as heroes overseas and at home. Many of them come from single parent homes, and they have a lot on their minds while they're at school. They are wonderful, bright children with gigantic potential. We just need a little help getting them going!

My Project

This carpet will be used every day by the students as they sit down for calendar time and whole group activities. It has lines drawn on it that will designate one student's sitting space from another. Lakeshore products are well built and will last a long time, so this carpet will serve students for many years to come!
