Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember your first day at a new school? My students are going to be the founding class of a middle and high school, and they need resources and materials to make our first year successful!
My 145 6th graders are going to be the founding class of our new school.
Our student population is mixed with ethnicity's, including Latino, Indian, African-American, Asian and Caucasian. My students will be coming together at one school from 47 different elementary schools.
My Project
These resources will allow us to execute our collaboration on math and science projects, so students are able to experience the link between various contents in real-life simulations and experiments. We can use the outdoor balls to team build a new group of 145 students and share in laughter and fun, so we can better learn and work together. We will use the books to inspire students to read, and it will allow teachers to work with smaller groups of students at a time. These materials will all help get our school off to a great start to learning and teamwork!
Considering we are a brand new school, we do not have any extra resources for learning, physical activities, or special teaching tools.
These materials will provide our school with a foundation of tools, so we can begin labs and projects sooner than later in our classrooms. This project will help make our students learning fun and interactive!
