Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students because they come to school every day trying their best, even when learning is hard for them. They are kind, hardworking, and so eager to learn. Many of them spend most of their day in our classroom, and they deserve a space that makes them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

Right now, many of our desks are old, damaged, and distracting for students.

Some wobble while students write, and others are worn down after years of use. My students try so hard to focus, but their learning environment makes it difficult sometimes.

New desks would give my students a stable and comfortable place to learn each day. It would help them focus better, work together more easily, and feel proud of their classroom. Even something as simple as a new desk can make a child feel important and valued.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
