Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students live in one of the poorest congressional districts in the country. It is very difficult for some of my students to learn how to relax in this stressful environment due to the pandemic.
My students work hard and want to participate fully but do not have a stable way of relaxing during or after a tough day's work after completing and participating daily.
Hence, my students will need Rubiks cubes to relax and refocus. I know that they will benefit greatly, as I work in an area where there is a high level of poverty and more than 90 percent of my children receive free lunch and breakfast.
My school is making great strides in providing quality and equitable education with the limited resources available at our disposal.
My Project
My students are still experiencing the pandemic stress. They are in school but are very uneasy and fearful of the unexpected that they face daily. Please help me with sanitizers, wipes, stress balls, and fidget gadgets to relax their minds while they learn to readjust to the rigors of school.
These materials will be of great benefit as they are in a shared close space and want to once again feel safe in the building where they call home.
My students will appreciate you more than you will ever understand.
