This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Imagine going to a museum and seeing all the artwork torn, dog eared, and damaged because they were not stored properly. This is the situation that our art students are facing. They need proper durable portfolios to protect their artwork so it can be displayed at our end of year art exhibition.
Our students are budding artists from a high poverty NYC public elementary school.
Our students love art class and take pride in everything they create. Our school is very supportive of the arts, but we do not have the funds to support our supply needs.
My Project
I am requesting large durable art portfolios that will adequately protect and store the students' artwork. In order for the students to understand and appreciate the importance of what they create, they need to see their work treated with care and respect.
Your generous donation will surely be appreciated and acknowledged at our end of year art exhibition, in which the students artwork will be displayed in mint condition.
Through the art exhibition, the students will understand the impact that their artwork has on the community.
