My talented art students are from a high needs public school in NY, in which many of them are bilingual and English language learners. We are very fortunate to have a principal and school that supports the arts. We're also fortunate to have an art program that supports our students in learning English. Unfortunately, as funds get cut, our budget for art supplies suffers greatly. Our students are motivated and eager to become well-rounded artists and individuals; but without proper supplies, they are missing out on valuable experiences fostered by a meaningful art education.
