My Students

Do you remember what it was like to walk into a classroom that felt warm, safe, and inspiring? I want to provide my students with all of the materials they need to be successful and motivated everyday!

My students attend a Title I school in Brooklyn.

With a high percentage of our students on free or reduced lunch, beginning of the year materials can be an additional burden on my students and their families. Our mission is to celebrate the unique complement of gifts and talents that each child possesses and to cultivate those strengths into powerful assets that serve the student and society. My students come from countries far and wide from Bangladesh to Trinidad and Tobago with the common goal of attaining a great education. They are eager to learn and continually face life's challenges with courage and perseverance.

My Project

The goal of this project is to provide us with the foundational items we need to get the year started right! We need pencils, chart paper, pencil sharpeners, clipboards for note-taking, construction paper for creative projects,copy paper, storage bins and mailboxes for organization.

Even after searching through school basements and using any and every available resource, I still lack materials crucial to my students' learning experience.

By supporting our project, you will be providing the opportunity for my students to have the supplies needed to engage in a rich learning experience . As a teacher who truly believes in the unlimited potential of her students it is extremely important to me that they begin the year prepared for success.
