I teach 18 wonderful children in the New York City area. Many of these children come from low-income families and do not have the resources to enhance their academic skills.
These children are fun-loving and full of life, and they deserve to have the resources they need to help them succeed in school.
We have a great school but, due to budget cuts, it's hard to get the funds for the materials we need in the classroom. You can help make a difference in these children's' lives.
My Project
My children love to cook. We need a breakfast station where we can make pancakes, cookies, waffles, potatoes, pasta and a lot more. Every week we cook in class. We would like to cook different foods but we need a breakfast hot plate to make this happen. The children like to have toast and bagels for breakfast. I have bought bread and bagels and the children asked me if I could toast it. I told them I would try to get a toaster for the classroom. Cooking it a great way to learn about math and science concepts. The children will measure, count, pour, mix and a lot more. Thank you for taking the time to read our proposal.
