This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a Title I school in a major city and a lot of our students come from difficult home lives. It's a high poverty area, and this year our school budget has been cut severely. We need your help!

We are one of the few schools in the area that has a strong art program, and I am so grateful for it.

Over the past six years that I have been here, I have seen more and more students turn to art as a form of expression. These students love art, and I think it's important to keep that love growing.

My Project

This is only the second year that my school has had a dedicated art room, and I want to make the best learning environment that I can! That is why I am asking for your help. In addition to our students learning through projects and our group discussions, I would like for them to be able to learn more about the art world on their own. That's why I would love to add Scholastic Art magazines to our small art library.

There are students that are already so curious about art and can not wait to learn more!

These Scholastic Art magazines allow students to learn at their own pace, gives students inspiration for new projects, and covers art history and contemporary artists.
